Edwards Lifesciences Sales Manager, Transcatheter Heart Valve in France

Role Purpose :

  1. Provide business support to the given territory. Primary responsibilities include direct sales activities, pricing, account prioritization (in the given territory), local reimbursement activities as detailed by the reimbursement group.

  2. Be responsible for coordinating commercialization across the given territory with customers, EU marketing, education and clinical organizations.

  3. Be responsible for sales performance on the given territory.

Major Job Functions:

  • Define and agree sales targets, bonuses and overall goals for team. Optimize the sales of Edwards' products, core and new innovative solutions, through contractual and other agreements. Ensure the ‘top line’ and ‘bottom line’ targets are met as agreed.Liaise to the benefit of ELS pro-actively and closely with the entire management in France and EU-HQ; particular the EU marketing team of THV.

  • Identify, evaluate, document, agree and communicate short and longer-term strategic plans for all business activities, ensuring buy-in and support for the goals and objectives at local management and team levels.

  • Co-ordinate the provision of ‘value-added services’ in order to differentiate Edwards as the leading supplier all available products within the portfolio.

  • Lead, train and motivate a team of Account managers covering ‘product portfolio’ and ensure they achieve the required sales targets and product mix within the given territories.

  • Develop strong working relationships with all the key decision-makers and stakeholders within the customer base and ensure that a positive environment is maintained for the promotion and sales of all Edwards' products.

  • Maintain and communicate an analytical profile of a major ‘key accounts’ and ‘business opportunities’ within a defined geographical boundary.Develop individual business plan per account / territory / buying-group to ensure profitable growth.

  • Promote and support the activities of the European marketing function at a local level. Provide valuable insight of the French market to the EU THV-Marketing team.

  • Work closely and communicate openly with peers, Senior Management across Europe and Global. Support their further activity where necessary for the total benefit of the business and perform at all times as an integral part of a team.

  • Development of relationships at senior purchasing and Chief Executives in your given territory.

  • Deploy global and local initiative on agreed projects flawlessly

  • Create individual development plans for the entire team based on the skills and competencies. Identify key talents and high potential and establish training process with the HR department retain those talents for the advantage of Edwards Lifesciences.

  • Ensure that all complaints are reported to the local Quality & Regulatory departments within 24hour. Fulfill all requirements acting in HCP environment and other regulations in Medical Device area.

Qualifications:

RequiredEducation/Skills:

  • MBApreferred.

  • Knowledgeof Strategic business management and planning, knowledge of thelocal DRG/Reimbursement system

  • Fluentin French and English

  • Several European languages plus

RequiredExperience:

  • Thecandidate should have a high degree of competence and exceptional track recordin sales preferably in Medical Device industry.He/She should be prepared to work in a ‘complex matrix environment’.

  • High level of sales management and commercial experience in medical field

  • Good general understanding and knowledge of natural sciences, biology andmedicine

  • Additionalknowledge of the French reimbursement system is valuable.

  • People management and development, Communication (written, spoken, presenting)at all levels

  • Computer systems literate

  • Budgetaryknowledge and experience

  • Relevant market knowledge and experience,Self-direction and time management

  • Cross culturalworking style
