Marketing Excellence Manager

Missions :

  • Responsible for the implementation of Marketing Excellence (MEX) initiatives :

− Familiarize with Global Business Units (GBU) current support needs and regularly update them.

− Prioritize and organize the Marketing Excellence support;

− Deliver the support;

− Continuously improve the initiative to ensure constant fit with Global Business Units (GBU) needs, in coordination with the Marketing Excellence team.

  • Shape and drive Marketing Excellence projects within one or more Global Business Units (GBUs), and support the GBU team to :

− Structure the problem and identify the appropriate MEX methodology.

− Adapt/tailor the methodology to address the specific challenges and meet the ambitions.

− Co-construct the project approach and project plan.

− Run the project: co-manage project with GBU project leader (facilitate team, drive timely delivery, support analysis work, and handle hard and soft aspects…).

− Communicate findings and recommendations to the governance instances (steering committee).

− Ensure implementation follow-up upon GBU request.

  • Support GBUs on the implementation of all or part of (tailored support) the MEX methodologies, depending on their business needs.

  • Support the GBUs you are working with in embedding the best-in-class Marketing Excellence processes and tools in their day-to-day ways of working.

  • Initiate and support best-practice sharing activities across the GBUs centered around the Marketing Excellence toolbox of the group.

  • Responsible for the further content development of one or more levers in the Marketing

  • Excellence toolbox, in coordination with the MEX team.

  • Carry out the trainings to the GBU teams.

  • Bachelor degree in International Business, Marketing, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, followed by successful experiences in the Marketing domain. Knowledge of marketing general processes is a must. Master’s degree & MBA is highly preferred.

  • 4-8 years in strategy consulting firms.

  • Very strong project management skills.

  • Ability to both think strategically and look for actionable and pragmatic solutions.

  • Experience in a change management role. Must have demonstrated ability to influence decision making across a broad spectrum of business initiatives without direct authority.

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Marketing management techniques & tools.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.

  • Strong collaboration skills, great team player, in multi-cultural & international environments.

  • Diplomatic but able to stand his/her ground.

  • Excellent problem solving skills, including problem structuring and synthesis.

  • Strong drive and achievement orientation.

  • Ability to interact appropriately with all levels of seniority (from field level to GBU president).

  • Available for travels.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
